The 10th Kano State House of Assembly has moved to review and amend the State Education law which was enacted since 1963 to international standard.
The Chairman House Standing Committee on Education, Hon Sulaiman Muktar Ishaq made this known while receiving the project coordinator of Adolescent Girls Initiatives for Learning and Empowerment alongside the management team of the project at the House of Assembly today.
He said considering the incumbent administration resolved and it’s uprightness in Education development, it had become highly imperative for the committee to have a good and cordial working relations with all relevant stakeholders in Education industry with a view to have sound and qualitative education in the State.
He assured the project coordinator that the House would accord them all necessary support in carrying out their assignments while appealed to them to always ensure transparency in all their undertakings.
Speaking the project coordinator, Nasir Abdullahi Kwalli said they were at the Assembly to brief the House Standing Committee on Education on the journey so far on AGILE project and it’s services and at the same time to canvas the House support on the project’s drive in bringing succor to the lives of Girls through education across the State.
Kwalli, who spoke at length solicited the House cooperation in moving the State forward and commended the State government for prioritizing education which he described as the gateway to societal development.
