The wife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Sa’adatu Ladi Atiku Abubakar has begged People with special needs to pray and vote the PDP at the forthcoming general elections.
She made the plea at an event organised by the Hafiz Abubakar support group engaging people with special needs from the 44 local government areas of Kano on Sunday.
She said, “let’s pray for a way out, let’s pray to God to take us out of this situation. We will surely work for you.
“Try him (Atiku) and see, if you go to his house, there is no tribe you will not find. He is a man of the people and a true Nigerian.”
Hundreds of People with special needs in Kano have pledged to kick out the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano and bring back the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming general elections.
The Kano state Chairman of the People with Disabilities, Ado Ibrahim Maikoriya who led the declaration said, it’s time for the precious bird to go back to its nest for in the past eight years, PWD’s have been neglected.
He said, “In eight years of APC reign, Gwale, who was receiving N300,000 every month for people with special needs, has seen not a dime. With this, we say the end of this injustice and not giving us any attention has come and we must vote them out of power whether they like it or not.”
Earlier speaking, former Kano state Deputy Governor, Hafiz Abubakar said, “It’s time to chase them out, come Saturday, you and your families should come out and vote. We don’t have any weapons other than that voters card.”
Recall that the National Coordinator of the Atiku-Okowa Campaign Council for People with Disabilities, Senator Hayatu Bello Gwarzo, said Atiku Abubakar had promised a five percent appointment to persons with disabilities.
Speaking at a ceremony in Abuja for the declaration of support by people with disabilities for Atiku, Gwarzo said the PDP presidential candidate is accepted across the country and that is why people with disabilities have also joined the campaign.
