POEM: Hindsight

Today was yesterday’s future,
And yesterday is today’s past,
Tomorrow is lingering presence,
That transcend both past and the future.

If you’re told to be futurist,
Know that the future is a day like today,
So adjust the present,
And things would be alright.

I woke up with a slate in my arms,
Most of my life I spent it in class,
So I see life as a school,
And I keep learning lessons.

Past is a teacher,
Be a good student of history.

Trust is a burden,
Loyalty is responsibility.

Love is sincerity,
Sincerity is a perfection of the heart.

The world is noisy,
Learn to speak in silence.

Be responsible for your actions,
Don’t be timorous.

A liar is a coward,
A brave is an honest man.

Be generous with your compliments,
And stingy with your blames.

What is said behind your back,
Is not meant for you to respond.

Silence and Speech are weapons of thought,
The former is the shield and the latter is the sword.

Watch your words,
Like the way you watch your steps.

The greatest lesson I learn in this life,
Is I have a lot to learn.

So I live on!
